The Church- A Beautiful Mess
The Church: A Beautiful Mess
This class hopes to look at what God is up to here at Faith and what we as His people can contribute to God's kingdom here. We will be asking questions like "Why are we doing church the way we do?" "Where are we headed?" and "How do I fit in?". You can also CLICK HERE to submit questions or topics you would like to be covered in the class.
The series will be taught in 2 phases. Each class is designed to create discussion around who we are as a church and what we believe.
Phase I [currently being taught by Chris Irwin]: We are examining the three areas of emphasis for life at Faith- WORSHIP on Sunday mornings, COMMUNITY in Gospel Community Groups and MISSION as we use our gifts to serve each other, the community and the world.
Phase II [starting early 2016, taught by Steven Brooks]: We will explore what it means to be a member of a church and some of the challenging doctrines that influence life at Faith and in our denomination. These include such topics as infant baptism, election, and gender roles in the church.
If you have any questions, you can email Steven Brooks at firstname.lastname@example.org.
