Our Vision and Values
We seek to love God, to love each other, and to love our neighbor by the grace of God through Jesus Christ.
GOSPEL [by the grace of God]
The Bible teaches that we love because God first loved us. It is this gospel of grace that creates the opportunity for heart and life change in each of us. The default of the human heart is religion- "I obey, therefore, I am accepted by God." The gospel says that it is not what I do but what Jesus has done on my behalf that makes me loved and accepted by God. And grace is simply the idea that this love and acceptance is a free gift, found only through faith in Jesus. As we begin to understand this good news, it compels us to put our faith in Christ. And as we continue to grow deeper in our understanding of this grace, we are compelled to glorify and enjoy God, not because we need to earn or hold onto God's love and acceptance, but because it's already ours in Christ.
WORSHIP [Loving God]
We respond to the gospel by worshiping God for who He is, the Creator and Sustainer of the world. We also worship Him for what He has done in making a relationship with Him possible through Jesus. We worship Him through the way we use our time, money and talents. We worship Him because it is through our worship that we receive the grace to rest in Him and are renewed to live life with Him. Sunday mornings at Faith are where we gather to worship together.
COMMUNITY [Loving Each Other]
We love each other by living life together. The gospel gives us the power to create a community in which we put each other’s needs before our own, are free to be honest about our doubts, struggle together, celebrate together, speak the truth in love, serve each other and glorify & enjoy God together. Our church is made up of very different people with very different stories but united by 1 great Savior, Jesus. Gospel community groups are where we gather to experience deep community.
MISSION [Loving Our Neighbors]
Knowing that we are loved and accepted in Christ frees us from protecting and promoting ourselves to a life about the glory of God and the good of those around us. The redeeming power of God in Jesus not only has the power to change our hearts, but our community and world as well. We want to be a witness to our city, by what we say and do, of the grace and power of Jesus to change lives. We are on mission at our jobs, in our neighborhoods, at our schools, in the park, partnering with community agencies & ministries, helping to plant churches and connecting & sending missionaries around the world.
